All our awnings are manufactured in Australia utilising premium-grade fabrics and stainless steel yacht fittings for awning tension and adjustment. INNOVATION

Outrigger has a long history of innovation. The company launched in 1994 and in 1996 was granted an Australian patent for a batten awning design. In 1998 we designed our first retracting awning and by 2004 we were manufacturing our own motorised retracting awning mechanism. In 2022 we applied for an Australian patent for a retracting awning with self locking arms, and in 2023 we applied for an additional Australian patent for an automated retracting carport. Every Outrigger Awning benefits from 30 years of design and manufacturing experience and the knowledge gained from over 5000 installations.

ENVIRONMENT

Outrigger recognises the importance of sustainability. An Outrigger Awning will improve the environmental efficiency of your home, by shielding your windows and doors from the direct sun, reducing the radiant heat entering your home from tiles and paved areas, and encouraging you to open up your home and use your outdoor areas, rather than stay indoors with the air conditioning on. All our awnings are made from PVC and polyester based fabrics that are manufactured in a sustainable process from new and recycled components. Our fabrics are fully recyclable.

AVAILABILITY

As we design and manufacture all of our awnings and sails in house, we can offer a very high level of service and availability. Simple designs with minimal frame and supports are offered with a 4 to 5 week delivery from placement of order. A typical custom designed structure with poles and supports will take 6 to 8 weeks. If an awning requires servicing and repairs we have installers available to send out on short notice. And as we are the designer, manufacturer, and installer we have extensive knowledge of the product and its capabilities.

We supply awnings to almost any shape, size, and colour. We enjoy working with clients, builders, and architects on new and innovative projects. We pride ourselves on having the flexibility and experience to always come up with a workable shade solution.

We have been in the business of manufacturing awnings and sails for 30 years. It is all we do, and our goal is to make the highest quality awnings and sails. Outrigger Awnings has an excellent reputation and we receive over 70% of our work through repeat business and word of mount recommendations.

PRICE

Our aim is to provide a quality installation at a fair and reasonable price. Our pricing falls between a standard off the shelf product, and a bespoke awning design created by an Architect and produced by a combination of engineer, builder, fabricator, and sailmaker.
