Issue
A heritage church in Burwood needed a demountable sail for an outdoor market and children’s play area. The church had a historic sandstone facade, and the sail needed to blend in and not dominate
the appearance of the church.
Solution
A simple rainproof sail with removable poles was suggested by the heritage architect and approved by the local council.
Features
The removable poles sit in angled sockets. The poles feature extension lugs which ensure that the coverage from the sail extends beyond the built-in seating area.
Benefits
The sail has created another room for the church and ensures the suitability of this area for use in all weather conditions.
