A motorised retractable roof for an internal courtyard.

Problem
An internal courtyard required an opening roof. The roof needed to be rainproof and let through light.
Solution
A roof mounted roller style retracting awning was proposed for this area. The awning would be set
low above the roof, and it would follow the roofline.
Features
The awning features a special rainproof shade fabric which minimises the loss of light while also
providing full rain protection. The light coloured fabric is also very effective at reflecting heat and
glare.
Benefits
The awning protects the courtyard from sun and rain. It protects the timber and furniture inside the
home and creates a cool protected area for the warm Summer months.
